Measurements 1. Flushness - maximum height
or depth of the fastener relative to the adjacent surface. Height
of fastener above
the
surface is shown as "Max Step" in the data table. If part of the
fastener is below the adjacent surface, the depth of the fastener from
the surface is shown as "Min Step" in the data table.
Industry Examples 1. Aeronautics - inspect
for fastener flushness to maintain aerodynamics of design.
2. Auto Manufacturing -
quality inspection.
3. Shipbuilding - part present/absent.
Sensors and Controllers Sensor selection will be
dependent on the size of the fastener and the resolution required.
Any of the sensors and controllers could be used for the application, but
typically the portable Series 1100 controller would be used with an HS300
sensor.
