| For applications not requiring portability, the Series 2000 controller integrates the capabilities of the LaserGauge sensor and software into the user's own computer. This allows the user to take advantage of the power and flexibility of WindowsÔ and of its high-resolution color graphics. Plug the sensor interface board into an ISA slot in the PC, install the LGExec software and the LaserGauge sensor becomes a desktop precision measurement instrument. |

utilizing the mouse and the graphical display, the user can interactively
extract measurements from the contour by positioning the cursor over points
of interest. Distances and angles can be calculated directly from
the contour and the results displayed on the screen. Repetitive measurements
can be made automatically with TDP programs that identify and analyze features
and log those values to a table. Programmability is the key to the
system's flexibility and to the ease with which it can be customized for
specific gauging applications.
Once measurements have been extracted, values can be saved to system memory for viewing, printing or archival. Data can be copied into a spreadsheet or other application program for further analysis. |
