| TDP Programs are measurement programs that automatically identify a surface feature, perform the desired measurements and display those values in a table. Each |

is specific to an application, such as Gap/Flush-the
measurement of the gap between two panels and the mismatch or flush of
the panels. Refer to Applications
for examples of some of the measurements that can be made.
TDPBuilder is an interactive WindowsÔ application for defining and testing the TDP programs before they are used to make measurements on a LaserGauge controller. The key to the flexibility of LaserGauge systems is TDP application language, the easy-to-program script language that allows systems to be adapted to specific gauging applications. TDP provides the normal functions of a script language (numerical operations, comparisons, flow control), but also includes a specialized function set for processing, analyzing, archiving, and displaying profile samples. |

| Sequence
Builder arranges TDP programs in a predetermined sequence
so that different measurements can be made automatically without the user
having to load a new TDP program. A sequence is commonly used in
inspection routines where different parts or different features are measured
in a specified order. This software tracks each inspection point,
loads the appropriate TDP program, makes the measurement and logs the value
to a data table.
LGCommunicator software is an interactive WindowsÔ application used for accessing log files and profiles stored on the Series 1100 and 3000 controllers and downloading them to a PC for subsequent use. Data files can be viewed, printed and saved on a PC for use in a spreadsheet or other application software. Profile scans can be viewed graphically and numerically, printed and saved. Interactive tools can be used with the viewed profile to obtain on-screen measurements. TDP programs for automated measurements can be loaded on the LaserGauge controller using this software. LGExec is the LaserGauge software for the Series 2000 controller which runs on the user's computer. It provides all of the measurement and inspection capabilities of the Series 1100 controller with the additional power of WindowsÔ. Surface profiles are graphed on the display and extracted values are written to the data table. Specified data can be plotted from the table in "strip-chart" style. Out-of-spec conditions can be indicated by color in the data table and can also be charted. TDP programs automatically identify and measure specific features while interactive tools can be used for on-screen measurements. |
